"Roo"

A bitch like "Roo" is a breeders dream and may only come along once in a lifetime.  She finished her UKC CH title with multiple Group wins at 9 months of age.  She then went on to finish her INT'L CH in one weekend with 3 BIS BBX wins as well as numerous Group 1's.  After our weekend in Tucson this last March at the International shows I decided she might just be ready to take to the AKC shows.  Her first weekend out at the Turquoise Cluster, she won WB at all 4 shows to pick up her first 7 points.  She also won a BW and  a BOS over 3 Specials as well as Best Bred By and a Sporting Group 1 Bred By.  With some great compliments from professional handlers, I decided to make the trek to a couple of out of state dog shows to see what we could do and boy, she didn't disappoint me!  Her first weekend out, she went WB and BW at the 2012 Golden Retriever Club of Greater Los Angeles Specialty, winning over 74 bitches and 49 dogs for her first 5 point major.  Needless to say, I was on "cloud nine" .  With 12 points in just two weekends, we decided to travel to New Mexico, but the entries were not majors.  That gave us time to show "Reba" and "Jinx" and "Roo" got to just chill.  Our next trip would be "Roo's" and my last together before she would go off with a handler due to work constraints.  We traveled to California once more where she won her last 3 point major to finish her AM CH title by going WB and BW at the supported entry Specialty weekend show in San Diego.  It was a "great" ride home that day.  "Roo" definitely finished in style in just three show weekends.  The icing on the cake is that she finished her AM CH title exclusively from the Bred By Exhibitor Bitch class!  This indeed makes her very "special" to me!

Below I am including some photos of her whirlwind show career.

"Roo" was bred to AM CH Moonlight's Ducking Genius RN.  Puppies were born March 10, 2013 and I co owned only one girl as a show prospect with my daughter, Laura Jack, named Multi-RBIMBS UKC CH Wildfire's Pin Ball Whiz At Anasazi BOSS ("Tilt").  Her first UKC show she won BIS Puppy and at her first AKC show, she earned her first point towards her AM CH title by winning her Bred By Exhibitor Bitch class (at 6 1/2 months of age) and then went on to win WB, BW, BOB Bred By Golden and a Sporting Group Bred By Group 3!  She won her UKC CH title at 9 months of age and won multiple Group 1 wins as well as multiple Reserve Best In Multi Breed Show wins!  At the Palo Verde Golden Retriever Club Specialty she was awarded Best of Opposite Sex in the Sweepstakes competition against some very competitive puppies!  "Tilt" has continued her winning ways in limited showing by going BOB over a GCH Special at the WMKC show in September 2014, followed by winning a major RWB at the 2014 PVGRC Specialty in Tucson and a week later going WB at the GSVKC show also in Tucson.  "Tilt" also was BOB Bred By at the WMKC show and went on to win a Sporting Group 1 Bred By.  All of "Tilt's" points so far have been won from the Bred By class and I am so thrilled that "Roo's" kids are beginning to follow in her paw prints.

My beloved "Roo" passed away unexpectedly in the Spring of 2019. She is greatly missed, but her memories will live on in her kids and beyond.
